The Totem Pole, also known as Tse’Bii’Ndzisgaii in Navajo, is a rock spire situated in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, located on the Utah-Arizona state line, near the Four Corners region of the United States. Rising approximately 450 feet above the desert floor, Totem Pole is the tallest spire in the world. Formed some 245 million years ago, it is composed of sandstone that has been shaped by centuries of erosion caused by wind and water.
